Sustainable procurement training

Welcome to the online training course on Sustainable Procurement for the UN system.

This course provides basic training for UN staff on Sustainable Procurement. The target group is procurers, but it is equally useful for policy makers, managers and requisitioners. It is accessible to all users or visitors to the UNGM site.

The course is based on the “Buying for a Better World” guide (http://greeningtheblue.org/resources/procurement). It is divided into three modules, focusing on policy, strategy and implementation. At the end of the course, UN staff can attempt an assessment and print a certificate on completion. UN staff needs to register as a UN User at https://www.ungm.org/Registration/RegisterUser.aspx

The time required to complete the course could vary between 5 and 10 hours. You decide the pace and it allows you to pause and continue from the point you stopped previously.

The course has been developed as a joint effort between the HLCM Procurement Network, UNEP, UNOPS, ILO and ITC-ILO. The training course will be updated based on your feedback. Please write to Niels Ramm (nielsr@unops.org) or Jacob Kurian (jacob.kurian@unep.org) if you have any comments.

Further information related to Sustainable Procurement is available at https://www.ungm.org/SustainableProcurement/Default.aspx and http://greeningtheblue.org/resources/procurement.

We hope you find the course informative and inspirational.
